Skowhegan Savings Manager Speaks to Cony High School Students
AUGUSTA, Maine - Meghan Loubier, branch manager of Skowhegan Savings in Belgrade, gave a presentation
to the Economic Foundations class at Cony High School on
October 16, 2009.
Meghan discussed with the juniors and seniors in the class how she came to be
a branch manager, what her job entails and what she likes about it. She
answered questions about her college degree and the skills needed to run
a bank branch. She also reviewed the importance of establishing and maintaining
good credit.
"It was wonderful to
meet with the kids and hopefully inspire them to pursue
the opportunities they're given in life. Financial literacy
and supporting our communities' children is very important
to Skowhegan Savings and I was honored to be a part of
the class," said Meghan.
Cony High School's Economic Foundations class frequently invites local professionals
to speak to the students about various careers.
